Dr. Keith Cochran

Pastor

Keith began serving as Pastor of West Jackson in February 2013. Keith is originally from Memphis, TN.  He is married to Bretta and they have 3 girls: Ally, Sarah, and Emily.  Keith is a graduate of the University of Memphis (Bachelor of Science in Education), Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Religion: Church Ministries), and Louisiana Baptist University (PhD in Biblical Studies).  Keith’s desire is to lead and encourage people to live out the Great Commandment by loving the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and loving their neighbor as themselves, (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission by going and making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Keith has a heart for missions and a heart to see the church sent out to advance God’s Kingdom.

Chris O'Daniel

Associate Pastor

Chris came to West Jackson Street in August of 2000 as Student Minister and began serving as Associate Pastor in January of 2018.  Chris received a Master of Divinity degree from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN and is also a graduate of Mississippi State University.  He is a native of Southaven, MS.  He and his wife Amy have four sons: Cameron, Clayton, Carson, and Connor.

Todd Mordecai

Worship Pastor

Todd and his wife Jenna joined the West Jackson team December of 2015.  They have two daughters, Ava and Anna.  They moved to Tupelo from Columbus, MS where they both call home.  Todd is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women (and smart men too!) with an undergraduate in Music.  He has received a Master's of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  He provides leadership and organization to all the wonderfully talented musicians at West Jackson and also oversees Communication for the church office.  Todd's calling is to use his love of music to reach others for Jesus Christ.  He also plans to disciple and educate members about God's expectation for us in worship.  "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth". (John 4:24)

Austin Kimbrough

Youth Pastor

Austin began serving as student and college minister of West Jackson in July 2018. He is married to Jade and they have 2 kids: Kaden and Della. Austin is a graduate of Blue Mountain College with a Bachelor of Science in Church Related Vocations and the University of Mississippi with a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Personnel.

Lisa Hofmister

Director of Preschool & Children's Ministries

After attending Owens Tech, Barstow Community College, serving 7 years in the U.S. Army and 2 years in the Army Reserve, Lisa and her husband Jamie relocated to Tupelo. She and Jamie joined our West Jackson Street Baptist Church family in 1999 and began serving with our preschool almost immediately. She and Jamie have three grown children and 2 grandchildren. With a passion for making sure every child has the opportunity to hear and live the Gospel, serving as the Children’s & Preschool Director since  2005 is a perfect fit.

Grant Smallwood

Minister of Recreation

Grant is a former collegiate 2 sport athlete as well as a coach with over 15 years of coaching experience.  Coach "Smallz", as called by many of his former players, desires to see coaches and athletes come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.  As the Recreation ministry continues to grow at West Jackson, Grant also seeks to extend the relationship between the church and the community.
Grant is also the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) representative in Lee county and surrounding areas.

Joe Gilley

Student Worship Leader

Joe joined our team here at West Jackson in July of 2017. He is from a long line of musicians in his family and graduated from Blue Mountain College with a Bachelors degree in Worship Leadership. Together, he and his wife Haley faithfully serve our students and young adults in many different ministry areas. He also heads up several teams such as media and livestream, as well as developing and maintaining our photography and videography. Joe's passion is for students both high school and college age to have a place where they can experience true, genuine worship while being challenged in their faith and relationship with the Lord. His heart is to see West Jackson be that place for each and every person who steps through the door.

Norma Clenin

Financial Secretary

Norma is a second generation staffer here at West Jackson Street Baptist Church.  She has followed in her mother's footsteps in her calling.  Norma began serving in her current capacity in March of 2014.  Norma holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University and has furthered her education with numerous continuing education classes during her time in the furniture and retail industries.  Norma has been a member of West Jackson for over 45 years and considers it a privilege to be able to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ not only as a church member but as a staff member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church.

Amanda Staggs

Administrative Assistant

Amanda joined the West Jackson Street Church staff on October 1, 2018.  She and her husband Jeremy have been married since 1995 and have one son, Isaac.  They have been members of West Jackson since 1998.  Amanda is a graduate of Pontotoc High School and ICC majoring in Computer Technology.  She also earned INS and AIC designations as an adjuster for Mississippi Farm Bureau Claims.  Amanda and Jeremy were part of a gospel quartet for many years and are currently involved with the Worship Band.  They feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful congregation and are excited to see what God has in store for West Jackson.

Nieca Riley

Worship Ministry Assistant

Nieca is currently serving on the West Jackson Street Baptist Church staff as Worship Ministry Assistant.  She, her husband Michael, and their daughter Alaina live in Pontotoc.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Social Science from Blue Mountain College.  Before joining our staff, she held the lead teacher position in one of the two-year-old classes at Harrisburg Baptist Church Day School.  Nieca recently served as choir director and pianist at Longview Baptist Church in Pontotoc.  She is excited about the many opportunities God is allowing her and her family to be a part of at West Jackson Street Baptist Church.
