Leadership

Keith began serving as Pastor of West Jackson in February 2013. Keith is originally from Memphis, TN.  He is married to Bretta and they have 3 girls: Ally, Sarah, and Emily.  Keith is a graduate of the University of Memphis (Bachelor of Science in Education), Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Religion: Church Ministries), and Louisiana Baptist University (PhD in Biblical Studies).  Keith’s desire is to lead and encourage people to live out the Great Commandment by loving the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and loving their neighbor as themselves, (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission by going and making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Keith has a heart for missions and a heart to see the church sent out to advance God’s Kingdom.

Chris came to West Jackson Street in August of 2000 as Student Minister and began serving as Associate Pastor in January of 2018.  Chris received a Master of Divinity degree from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN and is also a graduate of Mississippi State University.  He is a native of Southaven, MS.  He and his wife Amy have four sons: Cameron, Clayton, Carson, and Connor.

Austin began serving as student and college minister of West Jackson in July 2018. He is married to Jade and they have 2 kids: Kaden and Della. Austin is a graduate of Blue Mountain College with a Bachelor of Science in Church Related Vocations and the University of Mississippi with a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Personnel.

Ken began serving as the Minister of Music at West Jackson in October 2023. He and his wife Susan, moved from the Memphis area where he served as the Associate Minister of Music at Bellevue Baptist Church for 18 years, and also as the Minister of Music at Trinity Baptist Church in Cordova for 2 years. Ken has also served other churches in Booneville, MS and Pensacola, FL. He is originally from Amory, MS. Ken and Susan have 2 children, Katie and Hunter. Ken is a graduate from Mississippi State University where he earned his Master's degree in Music Education. Before being called into fulltime music ministry, Ken was a band director in the Mississippi public school system, and also traveled as trombonist for the Christian music group, TRUTH. One of Ken's favorite verses for ministry is Psalm 150:6 - "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!"

After attending Owens Tech, Barstow Community College, serving 7 years in the U.S. Army and 2 years in the Army Reserve, Lisa and her husband Jamie relocated to Tupelo. She and Jamie joined our West Jackson Street Baptist Church family in 1999 and began serving with our preschool almost immediately. She and Jamie have three grown children and 3 grandchildren. With a passion for making sure every child has the opportunity to hear and live the Gospel, serving as the Children’s & Preschool Director since  2005 is a perfect fit.

Norma is a second generation staffer here at West Jackson Street Baptist Church.  She has followed in her mother's footsteps in her calling.  Norma began serving in her current capacity in March of 2014.  Norma holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University and has furthered her education with numerous continuing education classes during her time in the furniture and retail industries.  Norma has been a member of West Jackson for over 45 years and considers it a privilege to be able to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ not only as a church member but as a staff member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church.

Amanda joined the West Jackson Street Church staff on October 1, 2018.  She and her husband Jeremy have been married since 1995 and have one son, Isaac.  They have been members of West Jackson since 1998.  Amanda is a graduate of Pontotoc High School and ICC majoring in Computer Technology.  She also earned INS and AIC designations as an adjuster for Mississippi Farm Bureau Claims.  Amanda and Jeremy  are currently involved with the Worship Band.  They feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful congregation and are excited to see what God has in store for West Jackson.

Nieca is currently serving on the West Jackson Street Baptist Church staff as Worship Ministry Assistant.  She, her husband Michael, and their daughter Alaina live in Pontotoc.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Social Science from Blue Mountain College.  Before joining our staff, she held the lead teacher position in one of the two-year-old classes at Harrisburg Baptist Church Day School.  Nieca formerly served as choir director and pianist at Longview Baptist Church in Pontotoc.  She is excited about the many opportunities God is allowing her and her family to be a part of at West Jackson Street Baptist Church.
